The Marathon

Summary:

1. A marathon is going to start, like every other day. ( ) number of people join the marathon everyday, but still the excitement never dies.

2. The subject is a guy who starts the race, oblivious to other people who are starting with him.

3. Initially he does not know his aim. He is just running. All his energy is focussed on finding the way.

4. As he moves ahead, he realise tht most of the people in the race do not know their aims too..

5. There were some who had a seemingly greater pace than the rest. He focusses his attention on them.

6. He has conversation with one of them and finds out tht the guy knew wat lies at the end of the race. But he would not tell him wat it was. He is told tht he has to find it out himself.

7. Our guy is determined to find wats at the end but he wants someone to tell him. So he finds a way to get it out of people. One person finally tells him wat lies at the end of the road.

8. But he suspects the person tht he may be lying. Also because he does not find it very intriguing. So he asks another person. It takes him a long time to become a good frnd of the person, to make the CONNECTION. But he is finally able to learn from the 2nd person wat lies ahead. And he receives a different answer. He feels happy tht he did not believe the first one and thus begins to trust the 2nd person.

9. But again he finds difficult to belive the 2nd person. He cannot imagine tht thts the thing which keeps all the people going. He himself cannot find enough strength to reach tht goal. So he decides to ask a third person.

10. Again he goes through all the pains to make tht "connection". And as expected, he finds a different answer.

11. Now he is angry with all the three people and starts to believe tht they have lied to him and made a fool out of him. So he wants to take revenge.

12. He plans carefully and one by one takes out his "enemies". By taking out his enemies, he gains watever they had and thus becomes rich in the three things.

13. But his problem hasnt bin solved til now. He wants to know wat lies at te end of the road.

14. He has been noticing from some time tht there were some people in the race who kept helping him to move forward. They often slowed down for him so tht he could move forward. Gave him energy drinks so he does not lose his strength. He was delighted by them though he always had a feeling tht he did not need any help. So he never acknowldged their help. He always believed tht he could get on by himself. But it did not stop him from enjoying the "energy drinks".

15. Then he had an idea. Why not ask some of these people abt wat lies at the end of the road.

16. Again he tries to make connection with one of them. He finds tht it was surprisingly easier. Then he asks the same question and gets disappointed. He would not be told wat lies at the end of the road. He is told tht he has to find out by himself.
